Job Summary




  • We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a critical upcoming project. The role involves cost estimation, tender preparation, budget control, and financial reporting to ensure efficient resource use and adherence to timelines and quality standards.

  • A strong background in construction cost management and the ability to work closely with project teams is essential.



Key Responsibilities




  • Preparation of Bill of Quantities, Tenders

  • Interpretation, administration, implementation and monitoring of contracts and costs.

  • Checking of contract BOQ for Arithmetical error before adoption for valuation use

  • Formalizing and assessing cost of variation/additional works

  • Preparation of Milestone schedule of payments

  • Preparation of materials for Advance payment utilization

  • Preparation & updating Project materials procurement Schedule

  • Preparation of Cash Flow forecast and analysis for specific projects.

  • Preparation and submission of final accounts and claims

  • Preparation, submission and negotiation of variation on contracts

  • Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour cost

  • Attend project site meetings and submit reports to management

  • Coordination of work effort and project milestone

  • Preparation of Quotations including variations/additional works

  • Preparation of Procurement schedule and monitoring

  • Attend cost control and reconciliation meetings with Accounts Department

  • Preparation Sub-contractors valuation & certificate for payment

  • Invoice certificate received from consultants and follow up payments

  • Monitor and check site materials

  • Preparation of project cost benefit analysis proactively

  • Preparation and submission of claims and attend negotiations and defence meetings.

  • Preparation of completion and commissioning certificates

  • Pursuit of payment of due retention fees

  • Reporting project profitability and challenges.



Qualifications and Experience




  • Degree in Quantity Surveying from a reputable institution with NIQS Certification.



Experience:




  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management with successful delivery of 3+ large-scale projects.



Required Skills:




  • In project management software and budgeting tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

  • Organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Organizational and multitasking abilities.
