The HSE Personnel will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of the company's operations.
This role involves monitoring safety policies and regulations, conducting risk assessments, implementing safety programs and ensuring that the company meets regulatory requirements for a safe and environmentally responsible working environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a wide range of safety policies and procedures specific to the organization while ensuring adherence to the prevailing national and international safety regulations.
Design protocols for recognition, evaluation and control of workplace hazards.
Develop tailored checklists for safety audits and assessments that are specific to the various operations across departments within the company.
Conduct regular inspections of work sites, workplace, equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor and enforce safety and environmental standards for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents and compliance audits.
Conduct periodic safety audits to assess the effectiveness of safety measures and identify opportunities of improvement.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Keep employees informed about best practices in health, safety, and environmental protection.
Establish and manage a safety reporting system where employees can report unsafe acts or conditions confidentially.
Create and implement an action plan to bridge these gaps and prepare the company for the certification process.
Lead the internal efforts for preparing documentation and supporting evidence required for ISO 45001 certification.
Regularly review safety performance and initiate improvements, adapting to new risks and challenges as they arise.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in HSE, such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
2 years experience in HSE roles within renewable energy, technology, or electrical industries.
Strong understanding of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
