A Water Plant Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring water treatment systems to ensure a continuous supply of clean and safe water for industrial or public use.
The role involves checking system parameters, maintaining equipment, recording data, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Treatment Equipment: Manage pumps, filters, RO units, softeners, and chemical dosing systems in the water treatment plant.
Monitor Water Quality: Perform regular tests (pH, TDS, conductivity, chlorine, etc.) to ensure water meets required standards.
Routine Maintenance: Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of filters, tanks, and pipelines to ensure optimal operation.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of water parameters, equipment performance, and chemical usage.
Compliance & Safety: Follow SOPs, environmental guidelines, and safety protocols to ensure plant operations meet regulatory requirements.
