Our client is seeking an experienced and highly competent Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of complex power projects.



The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee project teams, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, managing project timelines and budgets. The role holder will also act as a technical advisor and represent the client in professional settings, including client meetings, industry conferences, and regulatory engagements.



Role Responsibilities:




  • Develop and lead the design of complex power systems (e.g. renewable energy systems, grid integration, and power distribution networks)

  • Review and validate engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for grid-connected and off-grid systems.

  • Ensure electrical designs comply with engineering regulatory standards 

  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Monitor project progress to timely delivery.

  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, offering guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

  • Review team outputs, promote knowledge sharing, and enforce engineering best practices.

  • Foster a collaborative, safety-conscious project environment

  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams to align execution



Person Specifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.

  • COREN certification is mandatory.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing complex power projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar).

  • Experience with renewable energy systems (solar, wind, hydro) and grid integration is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of power system design, load analysis, and energy efficiency optimization.

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently.

  • Trustworthy, organized, and proficient in written and verbal communication.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
