Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records and ledgers
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor company bank accounts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collection and payment
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities when necessary
- Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally) for data entry and reporting
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Accountant, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
