Job Summary




  • The Hospital Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers.

  • This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.



Key Responsibilities

Patient Registration:




  • Greet patients, visitors, and healthcare providers in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Register patients, verify insurance information, and obtain necessary consent.

  • Ensure accurate and complete patient demographic information.



Scheduling Appointments:




  • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and other departments to ensure availability.



Customer Service:




  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns.

  • Resolve patient complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.



Communication:




  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and hospital staff.

  • Ensure seamless communication between departments and teams.



Data Entry and Record-Keeping:




  • Accurately enter patient information into hospital systems.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Assist customers/patients with their transactions and reports



Security and Emergency Procedures:




  • Follow hospital security protocols and emergency procedures.

  • Report any security concerns or incidents to management.



Requirements




  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • 2-7 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of hospital software systems.



Work Environment:




  • Front office setting with frequent interaction with patients, visitors, and healthcare providers.

  • May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays.
