Job Description

• The dispatch coordinator is responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.


• This role ensures that all transport operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of drivers, vehicles, and shipments.


• Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely and accurate performance.


• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal departments.


• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and delivery confirmations.


• Resolve delivery and service-related issues to ensure customer satisfaction.


• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures.


• Optimize routing and scheduling to reduce operational costs.


• Report and coordinate vehicle maintenance or breakdown issues.


• Use dispatch software and GPS tracking systems for real-time fleet management.


• Generate and submit daily reports on dispatch operations and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.


• 3 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation coordination.


• Experience with dispatch or transportation management software is preferred.
