Enterprise Infrastructure Network Engineers (Operations and Engineering) with strong technical knowledge of CISCO high-end equipment. Selected candidates will be part of the team focused on network design, architecture planning and roadmap evolution, and systems support.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage the network infrastructure with a focus on backbone and internet routing.
Develop and maintain network architecture and infrastructure plans capable of supporting mid-scale distributed systems.
Troubleshoot network issues and outages and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with other engineering groups to ensure our network infrastructure continues to support applications and services effectively.
Monitor network performance and integrity and adjust as needed to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Ensure all network infrastructure is compliant with industry standards and best practices.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Participate in on-call rotation for network support.
Build tools in support of network data analysis and production execution
Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes of network and tooling issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
3+ years of professional experience in network engineering, with a focus on backbone and Internet routing.
3+ years experience in understanding and mitigating network hardware and topology failures.
Proficiency in MPLS Traffic Engineering, BGP and OSPF routing.
Proficiency in Python, or other similar programming languages.
Experience in designing, deploying and operating networks at scale.
Preferred Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience with troubleshooting problems as relates to at least one networking system or platform (IP, Optical, Web servers, load balancers, storage systems etc).
Experience with developing software in the context of building and/or operating large scale networking systems.
Experience with secure tunneling and VPN protocols.
Experience with network function virtualization, SDN applications and protocols such as OpenFlow
Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration.
