We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science among students, delivering engaging lessons aligning with curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons for students for
Design and implement practical experiments and demonstrations using available lab resources.
Assess student progress regularly through tests, assignments, and practicals.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations (e.g., WAEC, NECO, IGCSE as applicable).
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
Collaborate with fellow science staff to enrich the overall science curriculum.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field (Postgraduate qualification is an advantage).
A teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, TRCN certification).
Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
Sound knowledge of national curriculum standards and assessment procedures.
Proficiency in using technology to support teaching and learning.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Passion for educating and mentoring young minds.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with international curricula (e.g., IGCSE, IB) is an added advantage.
Ability to integrate STEAM approaches and real-world applications into Chemistry lessons.
