Job Overview
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) professional to join our team in the Food and Beverages sector.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the food production process, specifically focusing on the performs and caps stages.
- This role requires a strong eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining top-notch product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and Cap Inspections:
- Conduct quality checks on food products, focusing on the performance and caps process to ensure they meet industry standards and company specifications.
- Inspect all materials used during production, including packaging, labelling, and sealing, for compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Monitor the sealing and capping processes to ensure proper functionality and product integrity.
Quality Control Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests conducted.
- Prepare and report on product quality data and issues to the QA Manager.
- Implement and monitor corrective actions for non-compliance or quality failures in the performs and caps stages.
Compliance & Safety Standards:
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international food safety regulations and guidelines (e.g., NAFDAC, ISO).
- Support the implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) within the factory and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are adhered to.
- Identify potential risks and proactively mitigate quality issues.
Collaboration with Production Team:
- Work closely with the production and packaging teams to ensure all products are manufactured and packaged according to quality standards.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the production process and quality controls.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Suggest process improvements or innovations that will increase product quality and consistency.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BSc/HND in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance within the food and beverages industry.
- Familiarity with the perform and caps process.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
