Job Description
Job Field: Procurement / Storekeeping / Supply Chain
Salary Range: ₦150,000 - ₦200,000/month
Responsibilities:
- Receive, check, and store food, beverage, and non-food items as per the restaurant’s inventory needs.
- Ensure the proper organization of stock in the storeroom and kitchen, keeping all items easily accessible.
- Monitor stock levels, reorder products, and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Perform regular stock rotation (FIFO method) and check for expired or damaged goods.
- Assist with the preparation of purchase orders and track deliveries.
- Work closely with kitchen and management teams to anticipate stock needs and ensure timely replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas, ensuring adherence to safety and health standards.
- Perform stocktakes and audits as required.
- Help with the delivery and distribution of supplies to various areas of the restaurant.
- Assist with waste control and reduction by ensuring proper handling and storage of products.
- Report any issues, discrepancies, or damaged items to management promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the restaurant or food service industry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
