Job Overview:

• We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Research Economist to join our research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth economic analysis, interpreting data trends, and delivering strategic insights to clients. In addition, the role involves collaborating with other researchers to ensure the production of high-quality deliverables and the timely execution of research projects.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct economic research on various issues, including market trends, industry analysis, and policy developments.


• Conduct market research on client business and its competitors, analyze data to derive meaningful insights and forecast.


• Develop proposals which include business plans, strategy plan, and retreat proposals outlining processes, financial implications, team composition, company profiles, and relevant past projects.


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify research priorities and project opportunities.


• Prepare and present research findings, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.


• Stay updated on economic trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform research projects and strategic recommendations.


• Identify and create new business opportunities through existing networks and by establishing new contacts.


• Review and analyze the efficacy of the implementation of business strategies..


• Provide editorial services and act as a rapporteur when necessary.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc. in Economics, Social Sciences, or any Finance related fields (minimum of 2:2/Upper Credit); Master’s and professional qualifications are added advantage.


• 3 - 5 years of work experience in a research/strategy role (Consulting experience will be added advantage)


• Strong proficiency in economic research and analysis.


• Excellent report writing skills, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.


• Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex economic concepts in a clear and concise manner.


• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.


• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


• Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in MS Office and contemporary data management software.
