Job Overview




  • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional client experiences.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, logistics, and vendor coordination, coupled with a solid understanding of the technical and engineering aspects involved in event setups.



Responsibilities




  • Oversee day-to-day operations of event planning, production, and execution.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure smooth event logistics, timely setup, and efficient resource management.

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of event infrastructure (e.g., staging, lighting, audiovisual, rigging, and power supply).

  • Manage budgets, optimize costs, and ensure events are executed within financial constraints.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements for all event activities.

  • Supervise and lead operations staff, including technical teams, logistics personnel, and on-ground event support.

  • Troubleshoot technical and logistical issues during events, ensuring quick and effective solutions.

  • Maintain and oversee inventory of event equipment, ensuring maintenance and proper storage.

  • Collaborate with creative teams, clients, and other stakeholders to align operational plans with event objectives.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and overall event quality.



Requirements




  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations management within the events industry.

  • Strong knowledge of event production elements such as audiovisual equipment, rigging, lighting, and power supply systems.

  • Proven experience in vendor and budget management, logistics planning, and team leadership.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and handle unforeseen challenges.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with an eye for detail.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and risk management in event setups.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and event management software is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with technical event production (e.g., setting up sound, stage, and lighting systems).

  • Knowledge of electrical and structural setup requirements for large-scale events.
