Job Description

• The suitable candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students in mathematical concepts, problem-solving, and critical thinking, following the Cambridge curriculum.


• The role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a love of mathematics, with a focus on preparing students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.


• Teaching and Instruction: Teach mathematical concepts, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to students.


• Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and report on student achievement, including preparation for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations.


• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages active participation and learning.


• Problem-Solving Skills: Encourage students to develop problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking.


• Examination Preparation: Prepare students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations, providing targeted support and guidance.


• Parent Communication: Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress, behaviour, and achievements.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field with 3-15 years experience.


• Teaching certification/qualification (e.g., PGDE, B.Ed.)


• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and the Cambridge curriculum


• Evidence of successfully preparing students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills


• Ability to work with diverse student populations and abilities


• Patience, empathy, and creativity in teaching and learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum


• Familiarity with examination board requirements and standards


• Track record of student success in Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations
