  • Develop and execute the bank’s overall financial strategy in alignment with corporate goals.

  • Provide strategic financial recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors based on performance analysis and future projections.

  • Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling for a technology-driven environment.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities and manage capital allocation to drive shareholder value.



Financial Operations Management




  • Oversee day-to-day financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and accounting.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

  • Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets.

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational efficiency.



Regulatory and Compliance Oversight




  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, including CBN and tax laws.

  • Act as the principal liaison with auditors, regulatory bodies, and tax authorities.

  • Monitor changes in financial regulations and guide the organization’s response.



Risk Management & Fintech Innovation




  • Identify and manage financial and operational risks, especially in digital banking and cybersecurity.

  • Partner with product and IT teams to assess the financial impact of fintech products and innovations.

  • Drive monetization strategies for digital banking platforms and services.



Capital Planning & Fundraising




  • Lead capital raising initiatives including debt and equity financing.

  • Maintain and build relationships with investors, venture capitalists, and financial institutions.

  • Ensure the bank maintains a healthy capital adequacy ratio in compliance with regulatory thresholds.



Team Leadership & Organizational Development




  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to support growth and operational excellence.

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

  • Implement succession planning and professional development initiatives across finance roles.



Data-Driven Decision Making




  • Utilize business intelligence tools to drive insight-led financial decisions.

  • Provide the executive team and board with regular reporting and performance updates.

  • Monitor market trends and competitors to identify strategic opportunities.
