JOB SUMMARY 

• The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high-quality illustrations, character designs, environments, and other visual assets that align with project requirements and creative direction. This role involves working closely with creative leads, designers, and animators to ensure visual consistency and excellence across all assets. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A typical day on the job will involve: 

• Creating 2D illustrations, concept art, character designs, and backgrounds based on briefs and creative direction. 


• Collaborating with creative leads and project teams to develop and refine visual styles and art assets. 


• Interpreting scripts and storyboards to develop visually compelling scenes and elements. 


• Ensuring consistency in visual style, colour palettes, and overall quality across all deliverables. 


• Adapting designs for use in various media formats such as social media, websites or video production. 


• Participating in brainstorming sessions to contribute artistic input and ideas for projects. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• BSc/HND in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or any related field with at least a second-class upper division (2.1) from a reputable institution. 


• 2-4 years of experience as a 2D Artist, Graphic Designer or in a similar creative role. 


• Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in character design, environments, concept art, and digital illustration. 


• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator), and other designing software. 


• Strong understanding of composition, colour theory, lighting, and perspective. 


• Ability to take feedback constructively and apply it to improve designs. 


• Excellent drawing and visual storytelling skills with strong attention to detail. 


• Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects.
