KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Drive day-to-day implementation of project security plans to maintain security risks at ALARP.

  • Provide daily status updates and periodic radio check-ins to ensure GSA alertness and site situational awareness.

  • Monitor and assure the effectiveness of physical security barriers and surveillance measures on-site.

  • Support documentation processes and seamless transition of security deliverables between project phases.

  • Oversee the deployment and coordination of GSAs, working closely with the Contractor Project Site Security Team to ensure adequacy and readiness.

  • Participate in daily integrated logistics planning to coordinate secure execution of all project movements (onshore & offshore).

  • Conduct Level 1 (LOD1) assurance reviews and track the closure of related security deliverables.

  • Ensure strict adherence to approved access control procedures across all worksites.

  • Liaise with Shell Intelligence to gather and share relevant threat intelligence for proactive response.

  • Interface with Bonga FPSO and Security Operations Centre to maintain an integrated security operating picture.

  • Report all security issues/incidents that could impact project safety or continuity to Company and Contractor Security Leadership.

  • Collaborate with contractors to coordinate emergency response activities and implement post-incident learnings.

  • Ensure VPSHR briefings are conducted for all GSAs and report any violations or concerns.

  • Participate in security drills and assurance exercises; follow up on improvement actions.

  • Provide operational cover for the Project Security Lead as needed.



MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS




  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

  • Professional certifications such as PFSO, PSP, CPP (ASIS) or equivalent are advantageous.

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in industrial security within the oil & gas sector.

  • Solid knowledge of E&P operations, particularly in the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea regions.

  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing and monitoring security operations in high-risk environments.

  • Strong communication, planning, and analytical skills; able to collaborate and build consensus across functions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data management, spreadsheet tools, and simple databases.

  • Experience with access control systems and logistics planning tools is an added advantage.
