KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Materials & Logistics Execution
- Coordinate and ensure timely delivery of project materials across all in-country and out-of-country locations, including customs clearance and site delivery in accordance with defined Incoterms.
- Liaise with procurement, engineering, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure alignment with the material delivery plan, ROS (Required on Site), and construction readiness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and track all procured items from vendor to installation site.
- Expedite purchase orders, confirm delivery schedules, and update stakeholders accordingly.
- Ensure material preservation, storage conditions, and proper documentation for handover and surplus reconciliation.
Stakeholder & Contractor Engagement
- Act as primary interface between the EPC contractor, logistics service providers, and internal Shell stakeholders for all materials and logistics matters.
- Oversee and assure vendor and contractor performance in line with delivery milestones and contract requirements.
- Support contractor in aligning logistics and warehousing strategies to meet project execution needs.
Governance, Assurance & HSSE
- Drive compliance with Shell HSSE standards and project-specific health and safety procedures.
- Supervise and ensure quality assurance inspections for critical materials.
- Lead or support material incident reporting and root cause analysis when required.
- Manage materials-related risks and proactively drive continuous improvement.
Technical & Operational Support
- Provide technical input and advice on Oil and Gas materials, including sparing and BOM validation.
- Update Material Masters and Bill of Materials to reflect as-built conditions.
- Interface with engineers and supply chain SMEs to ensure timely technical clarifications and resolution of materials issues.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Track and report material delivery performance metrics, identifying improvement areas.
- Ensure timely documentation, dossier compilation, and data handover to stakeholders.
- Lead the development of project KPIs for materials and logistics.
- Maintain project work-pack libraries to eliminate future rework.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in materials/logistics coordination in oil & gas capital projects.
- Strong understanding of oil & gas materials, installation packages, and offshore logistics.
- Certified by CIPM (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or equivalent).
- Proficient in SAP (MM module) and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Digital Track & Trace tools is a plus.
- Proven competence in customs processes and vendor expediting.
- Experienced in supervising offshore material movement and preservation.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
