Job Description




  • The Traditional Trade Lead will lead the execution of ReelFruit’s traditional trade strategy within Lagos.

  • The role is responsible for managing a field sales team, driving customer acquisition, increasing market share, and ensuring execution excellence in open markets and traditional trade accounts.

  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience navigating Lagos’ diverse retail landscape.



Duties and Responibilities

Team Leadership & Management:




  • Supervise and mentor merchandisers and supervisors

  • Set team targets and KPIs, provide regular feedback and coaching

  • Monitor performance and drive accountability



Sales Strategy & Execution:




  • Develop and implement trade-specific sales strategies

  • Align sales initiatives with the company’s commercial goals

  • Conduct ongoing market intelligence and competitive analysis



Customer Relationship Management:




  • Build and nurture relationships with existing clients and key partners

  • Ensure excellent post-sales engagement and satisfaction

  • Oversee the effective management of key distributor and trade accounts



Sales Reporting & Analysis:




  • Analyze data to inform decisions and improve execution

  • Provide timely market insights and actionable sales reports

  • Forecast and project market trends in collaboration with leadership



Lead Generation & Qualification:




  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within Lagos’ open market

  • Maintain and update leads accurately within CRM systems

  • Support business development efforts to expand client base



Cross-functional Sales Strategy Execution:




  • Collaborate with marketing to implement sales campaigns

  • Align with product and support teams to understand offerings and deliver superior service

  • Represent field challenges and insights in internal strategy sessions



Educational Qualifications, Experience & Requirements




  • B.Sc./HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience managing open market/traditional trade accounts in Lagos

  • Previous experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) is a plus

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • High proficiency in sales data interpretation and use of CRM tools

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive performance in a fast-paced environment
