Responsibilities




  • Research, source information on prospective trade partners to determine their potential.

  • Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies and key distribution partners.

  • Execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and meet revenue targets.

  • Promote airline products and services to agency partners and drive ticket sales.

  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Deliver training and support to agency staff to ensure product knowledge and compliance.

  • Develop effective proposals for current and prospective clients.

  • Provide market intelligence reports, including competitor information, to identify threats and opportunities

  • Attend industry events and represent the company in relevant forums.



Requirements




  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, Aviation or any related field.

  • Professional certification in Airline and IATA (International Air Transport Association) is mandatory.

  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience in sales within the airline and travel industry, particularly dealing with agency or trade sales, is compulsory.

  • A sound understanding of airline ticketing, agency distribution systems, and travel market dynamics is mandatory.

  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently, travel when required, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
