- This position is responsible for strategic business development, revenue generation, efficiency improvement, profitability and overall business process management and leadership in the specified region of the Country.
Business and Financial performance
- Identify and engage targeted individuals within assigned region on a continuous basis for acquisition opportunities in Premier Banking.
- Monitor and manage sales against targets by tracking all recorded sales and activity schedules.
- Provide RMs with necessary information and effective engagement plans on new sales opportunities.
- Put in place strategies and policies to ensure the region achieve the expected revenue per customer and the maximum number of products holding per customer (PPC).
- Expert understanding of economic realities and possess knowledge of current financial market trends, focusing on the fixed income and equity space.
- Grow Premier Banking portfolio by offering tailored Premier Banking products and services to the bank’s top tier employees of Commercial and Corporate customers’ employees under the value chain proposition in the location.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Corporate Banking by referring business opportunities from Premier clients who are business owners, decision makers.
Customer Excellence
- In collaboration with Customer Service, drive the execution of solutions addressing Complaint Root-cause analysis outcome
- Supervise the proper management of customer’s assets to ensure proper portfolio management within the Bank, and with wealth management providers
- Ensure the bank’s products and services are being delivered in a customer-centric and cost-effective manner
- Ensure customer excellence is the over-arching goal in Relationship Managers’ interactions with customers.
Leadership and people management
- Provide support for Relationship Managers across all facets of their duties and interactions with customers
- Track and provide weekly reports on Portfolio performance at Area level
- Lead all Premier Banking projects, working in close collaboration with the Relationship Manager team in the location.
- Motivate and manage staff in the Area to ensure that superior performance levels and quality standards are achieved through the location.
- Training of RMs within their regions
- Lead strategic initiatives that will create business growth, position Premier Banking in their region, while increasing shareholders value.
- Champion cost management initiative within Premier Banking business in their region.
Process, control, and operational performance
- Ensure full adherence to Operational Risk and Compliance guidelines across the Premier Banking business function in coverage location e.g., KYC and anti-money laundering measures.
- Constantly monitor credit portfolio to ensure maximum of 3% NPL and take corrective action on product design where this threatens to compromise the credit health of the Premier Banking portfolio.
Strategic initiatives
- Ensure embedding of a strong strategy alignment compliance and execution culture and practice within Consumer Banking in the affiliate.
Grade: DM - SM
Experience & Qualifications
- At least 10 years in leadership role supervising a consumer banking-based line of business and people in the banking industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree plus other management related trainings and qualifications
- Master’s Degree is an added Advantage
