Role Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Power Plant Operator to oversee the operations and maintenance of our plant's utility systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate utility equipment, including gas generators, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), air compressors, and ventilation air movers (VAMs).


• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment such as steam turbines, boilers, pumps, and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.


• Utilize control panels and monitoring systems to detect and address malfunctions.


• Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and inventory.


• Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure timely payment collections.


• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.


• 3–5 years of experience in power plant operations, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.


• Proficiency in operating and maintaining utility equipment.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.


• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders.


• Ability to work in conditions involving dust, fumes, and moderate to loud noises.
