Position Summary

• A reputable organization is seeking a Trade Finance Executive to manage all trade finance operations related to imports and exports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and effective coordination with banks and sister companies.


• The ideal candidate will handle documentation, letters of credit, and liaise with relevant regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth trade transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all documentation for imports and exports related to banking and operations


• Manage the Trade Finance desk, including TRMS portal trade forms, NXP, Form M, and others


• Draft Letters of Credit (LC) and follow up with banks for LC issuance


• Present shipment documents to banks in a timely manner


• Coordinate with the Country Finance Manager to negotiate banking terms and conditions on LCs


• Source Forex from CBN/I&E Window


• Maintain strong relationships with Relationship Managers (RMs) for import transactions


• Coordinate with sister companies on export and import matters


• Advise on necessary changes to streamline export and import processes


• Liaise with regulatory agencies such as NAFDAC and SONCAP for certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Business, or related field


• Knowledge of trade laws and regulations, including import/export requirements and international sanctions


• Minimum 5 years proven experience in trade finance management, preferably in a similar industry or organization


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
