Duties and Responsibilities




  • Overseeing routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure the facility's physical integrity.

  • Managing day-to-day operations, including utilities, security, and janitorial services.

  • Optimizing the use of space, including layout planning and furniture arrangement.

  • Developing and managing budgets, controlling costs, and identifying areas for cost savings.

  • Ensuring a safe and secure environment for occupants, visitors, and assets

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Managing relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.

  • Overseeing the management of assets, including equipment, furniture, and fixtures.

  • Implementing sustainable practices and managing energy consumption

  • Communicating with occupants, stakeholders, and senior management.

  • Overseeing projects, including renovations, upgrades, and new construction.

  • Understanding of facility operations, maintenance, and management.

  • Ability to lead and manage teams, including contractors and vendors.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.

  • Ability to think strategically and plan for the future.



Requirements




  • Minimum of HND/BSc in Facility Management, Engineering, Estate Management, or any related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in facility management or a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of facility operations and best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, contractors, and service providers.

  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software/tools is an advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Warri.
