Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage a High-Quality Loan Portfolio: Proactively build and oversee a personal portfolio of performing loans, ensuring alignment with the bank’s credit policies and risk appetite.
- Drive Client Acquisition and Business Growth: Execute regular direct marketing, field promotions, and business development activities to attract qualified loan applicants and expand the customer base.
- Conduct In-Depth Credit Assessments: Screen loan applicants for eligibility, initiate and complete loan applications, and schedule client appointments for further engagement.
- Perform Thorough Loan Appraisals: Carry out comprehensive assessments of client businesses and households, including due diligence on guarantors, in line with established credit procedures.
- Prepare and Present Credit Proposals: Develop detailed loan proposals and present them to the credit committee, providing sound justification and responding to feedback.
- Coordinate Loan Disbursement: Work collaboratively with the Back Office and clients to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of approved loans.
- Monitor and Manage Repayments: Utilize the bank’s loan management system (e.g., myMBS) to track repayments, promptly follow up on overdue accounts, and maintain portfolio health.
- Ensure Portfolio Quality and Risk Control: Maintain high-quality standards in loan documentation, reporting, and follow-up to ensure low default rates and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to Team and Institutional Growth: Actively participate in team meetings, credit committees, and improvement initiatives, demonstrating a solution-oriented mindset and aligning personal performance with the bank’s strategic goals.
Profile:
- Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least three (3) years of hands-on lending experience in a reputable Microfinance Bank.
- Solid understanding of financial mathematics, credit analysis, and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in the use of basic computer applications and mobile banking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Highly target-driven and performance-oriented, with the ability to meet and exceed set goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in outdoor field environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Proven capacity to assess, process, and disburse micro and SME loans effectively to small business owners.
- Strong self-motivation, discipline, and integrity in the discharge of duties.
