About the Job




  • The Head of Strategy will play a vital role in driving the company's growth and success. The candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic initiatives and long-term planning.

  • He/she will be working closely with the Managing Partners and Unit heads. The candidate will identify exciting opportunities for growth, will develop and implement retail and technology strategy, analyse market trends, and shape the overall strategy of Comercio Partners Limited.



Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and enhance profitability.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to create a comprehensive plan for transforming the organization's structure and processes and ensure its successful implementation.

  • Analyse and evaluate the company's performance, comparing it with both internal and external benchmarks, to provide insights for strategy development and performance enhancement.

  • Monitor and analyse industry trends and competitive landscape to identify emerging threats and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and industry experts to stay abreast of market trends and best practices.

  • Developing actionable strategies that create measurable long-term value for the organization.

  • Uncovering hidden opportunities and providing evidence-based analysis executive management needs to make informed decisions.

  • Working with Senior Management to establish a framework for sustained innovation and growth.

  • Set timetable and process for review of the strategic plan and advise on redevelopment in the run up to the next strategic period.

  • Ensuring strategic plans are working effectively and that the company will remain competitive in the industry.

  • Effectively communicating the businesses strategic objectives with senior management to drive the business forward.

  • Providing high level strategic, planning and policy advice to the Group Managing Partners.

  • Inform the partners on all matters affecting the future business operations, capacity and sustainability of the services provided by the organization.

  • Provide guidance and strategic direction to business units, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all strategic initiatives.

  • Stay informed about industry developments and changes in the competitive landscape.

  • Be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of technology strategies that align with our business goals.

  • This includes managing the Innovation Team, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that our technology infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable.



Qualifications




  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in any related Business course

  • MBA/M.sc is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience.



Skills and Experience:




  • High level understanding of strategic communications.

  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex strategic problems.

  • High attention to detail.

  • High level of investigative, analytical, and interpretative skill to aid in research conducting.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and consultants.

  • Strong background in retail technology, project management, and team leadership.
