Job Summary




  • The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes, nutritional standards, and health regulations.

  • This role requires an individual with a passion for culinary excellence, strong kitchen management skills, and an unwavering commitment to hygiene and food safety.

  • The successful candidate will deliver consistent, innovative, and delectable menu offerings while ensuring efficiency and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities




  • Plan and execute a weekly meal timetable that includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner across various cuisines (local and intercontinental).

  • Prepare meals according to specified dietary requirements, portion sizes, and presentation standards.

  • Ensure kitchen hygiene by maintaining sanitary cooking stations and complying with food safety regulations.

  • Procure, store, and monitor kitchen supplies and minimize food waste through smart inventory control.

  • Monitor food freshness, handle perishables responsibly, and ensure proper storage practices.

  • Maintain kitchen appliances, utensils, and equipment, escalating issues for timely repairs.

  • Ensure punctual meal service and adapt to changing dietary needs or guest requests.

  • Perform weekly deep cleaning and daily cleanup of the kitchen, pantry, and cold storage.



Requirements




  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience in a private residence, corporate kitchen, or hospitality setting.

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian, continental, and healthy dietary meal preparation.

  • Ability to manage kitchen inventory, plan menus, and work unsupervised.

  • Understanding of food safety, cleanliness protocols, and kitchen compliance.

  • Must reside within proximity to Lekki or be willing to commute reliably.
