Job Summary
- To ensure the operational efficiency of all electrical and mechanical equipment by performing timely inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs while adhering to quality, food safety, and workplace safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance:
- Monitor and inspect asset performance and operation on a shift and daily basis.
- Record asset performance using existing checklists.
- Troubleshoot and repair machine faults in collaboration with machine operators.
- Execute scheduled work orders and proactive maintenance tasks.
- Perform quality checks during and after maintenance activities.
Operational Efficiency & Safety:
- Ensure all electrical and mechanical equipment function optimally through routine checks and timely repairs.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of factory premises and facilities.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage engineering spare parts inventory.
- Generate parts requests and advise on ordering requirements.
- Inspect incoming parts from suppliers for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of parts and stock levels.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Document maintenance activities and daily progress in maintenance logs.
- Report any quality or food safety issues to the relevant team.
- Maintain compliance evidence for departmental quality and food safety objectives.
Quality & Food Safety Compliance:
- Understand and adhere to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and FSSC 22000 requirements.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and 5S standards in the workshop and work areas.
- Participate in the company’s quality and food safety programs.
- Identify and report quality and food safety risks and non-conformities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of a Technical Diploma in Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of QMS, FSSC 22000, and GMP requirements.
- Awareness of quality and food safety policies and personal hygiene standards.
- Good understanding of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
