Our client in the manufacturing sector is looking to hire a Senior Electrical Technician to support maintenance operations by ensuring the effective functioning of all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
The ideal candidate will carry out timely inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical installations and ensure adherence to quality, hygiene, and safety standards, especially within food production environments.
Responsibilities
Monitor and inspect equipment and asset performance on a shift and daily basis.
Record machine performance using approved checklists and maintenance logs.
Collaborate with machine operators to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Carry out routine inspections and repairs to maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of factory premises and equipment.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and policies in the work environment.
Execute assigned work orders and proactively manage maintenance schedules.
Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of maintenance work performed.
Identify spare part requirements and assist in inventory planning.
Monitor and inspect incoming engineering parts for conformity and quality.
Maintain accurate stock records and frequently report inventory levels.
Apply 5S principles in managing tools, workspaces, and maintenance areas.
Observe GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) when handling tools and working in production areas.
Document daily maintenance activities and report progress.
Understand and support the company’s quality and food safety management systems (QMS & FSSC 22000).
Identify and report any quality and food safety concerns to the appropriate teams.
Promote continuous improvement in maintenance practices to support safe and quality product output.
Qualifications
Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant electrical maintenance role within a production or manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of Quality and Food Safety requirements, including QMS and FSSC 22000.
Proven ability to interpret and apply operational control procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
Knowledge of factory safety practices and procedures.
