This role is ideal for someone passionate about child rights, access to justice, education, and community development. The Associate will work closely with the Chair to implement programmes, liaise with beneficiaries and partners, generate ideas, coordinate volunteers, and support projects both remotely and on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Beneficiary Engagement:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Chair and beneficiaries of TOKAN Foundation and CRJJC.

  • Manage and respond to requests for support or assistance from beneficiaries.

  • Track and follow up on beneficiary needs, referrals, and outcomes.

Programme Support & Coordination:

  • Support coordination of visits to correctional centres, schools, and other community sites.

  • Liaise with social workers, volunteers, and service providers on programme logistics.

Volunteer Management:

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of volunteers for centre visits, legal aid, and outreach initiatives.

  • Maintain volunteer schedules and ensure proper communication and support.

Content and Communications:

  • Generate ideas and assist in the development of content (social media, newsletters, project reports, impact stories).

  • Draft communications and briefing materials for events or meetings.

Administrative & Operational Support:

  • Maintain shared project and administrative calendars.

  • Organise documentation of meetings, follow-up actions, and field reports.

  • Assist with research, grant applications, and partner outreach as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated interest in social justice, child rights, education, or nonprofit work.

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset and a proactive attitude.

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a flexible, hybrid environment.

  • Ability to engage compassionately with vulnerable children and their caregivers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. Social media or design skills (e.g. Canva) are a plus.
