Job Summary




  • The Deputy Chief Engineer - Utility is responsible for ensuring the execution of an efficient and effective Operations, maintenance and improvement of utilities such as water, electricity and other essential services required to sustain the operations of the Factory.



Responsibilities




  • Construction/Maintenance of Transmission lines.

  • Drawing of layout for installation and wiring of the Factory premises.

  • Installations, repairs and maintenance of Air conditioners and Refrigerators.

  • Monitoring and managing the operation of utility systems in the Factory.

  • Involved in the design and development of utility infrastructure projects.

  • Assist the Chief Utility Engineer with daily supervision of the section.

  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure effective implementation of projects.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues within utility systems.

  • Supervising and training junior engineers and technicians.

  • Estimating project timelines and resource requirements

  • Implementing energy-saving measures and sustainable practices.

  • To ensure that maintenance and repairs of all Factory Utility infrastructure.

  • To ensure the improvement of water supply at the Factory and offices is achieved.

  • To ensure maintenance and repairs of generators, including a checklist, are achieved for optimum performance.

  • To ensure that repairs and maintenance of all electrical appliances and fittings at both staff houses, guest houses and offices are achieved.

  •  Monitoring and managing the operation of utility systems.



Requirements




  • A minimum of B.Tech/BE/BSc in Electrical or any related Engineering.

  • COREN, NSE or any related professional qualification is an added advantage

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of hands-on experience.

  • Effective Communication skills

  • People management skills

  • Basic financial skills

  • Negotiation skills

  • Presentation skills.
