Job Summary:

Oyomesi Specialist Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Ward Assistant to support the healthcare team in providing quality patient care. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in community health who are committed to making a difference in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and mobility.


• Support patients with personal hygiene, feeding, and general comfort.


• Maintain a clean and safe ward environment.


• Help in transporting patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.


• Follow hospital hygiene, safety, and infection control protocols.


• Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times.

Requirements:

• CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker) qualification is preferred.


• Previous experience in a care or healthcare environment is an advantage.


• Basic understanding of hygiene, safety, and patient confidentiality.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Physically fit and able to perform lifting or moving tasks.
