Job Description

Role Overview

  • We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Recruiting Lead to own and optimize mDoc’s end-to-end hiring function. You will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and securing top talent across clinical, operational, and technology roles as we grow our team and geographic footprint. This role requires someone who is deeply organized, people-centered, brand-conscious, and data-driven - someone who understands the urgency of mission-aligned hiring while keeping candidate experience and equity front and center.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Hiring Leadership

  • Partner with senior leadership to understand short- and long-term talent needs across departments

  • Design and implement scalable recruitment strategies, including pipelines for high-volume clinical roles and leadership talent

  • Regularly assess workforce planning and talent gaps to adjust hiring priorities accordingly

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Write compelling job descriptions and manage job postings across platforms

  • Source candidates through active outreach, referrals, partnerships, and job boards

  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate hiring team participation

  • Manage candidate pipelines using ATS or CRM tools (e.g., Workable, Greenhouse, or Airtable)

Candidate Experience & Brand

  • Ensure a seamless, respectful, and timely candidate journey across all touchpoints

  • Serve as an ambassador formDoc’s culture and mission in every interaction

  • Gather and apply feedback to continuously improve hiring experience

Team Support & Interview Design

  • Train hiring managers on inclusive, structured interview practices

  • Collaborate to develop interview scorecards and decision frameworks

  • Ensure consistent evaluation and documentation across all roles

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Track recruitment metrics (e.g., time to fill, offer acceptance, diversity)

  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements

  • Maintain a regular dashboard or report for leadership review

Qualifications

  • 6-10+ years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in a high-growth startup, health, or social enterprise context

  • Proven success managing end-to-end recruitment cycles, from sourcing to offer

  • Experience hiring for a mix of clinical, operational, and technical roles a strong plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple open roles at once

  • Strong understanding of hiring best practices and tools (e.g., ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter)

  • Mission-driven, adaptable, and energized by building systems and culture from the ground up

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hiring at scale for healthcare and technology

  • Background in employer branding or talent partnerships

  • Familiarity with the West African or sub-Saharan African and broader global talent landscape
