  • We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Facility Manager to join our team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and conducive to a productive work environment for our employees and visitors.



Responsibilities




  • Work closely with the Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring all aspects of our building and grounds are well-maintained.

  • Help coordinate and monitor all maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cleaning, and security services. You'll ensure that timely repairs and preventative maintenance schedules are followed.

  • Assist in liaising with external contractors and service providers. This includes getting quotations, scheduling work, and ensuring services are delivered to agreed standards.

  • Support the implementation and enforcement of health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

  • Manage inventory of facility supplies, order new materials as needed, and ensure stock levels are maintained efficiently.

  • Assist with space planning and office reconfigurations, ensuring optimal utilization of our facilities.

  • Be a primary point of contact for staff regarding facility-related issues, responding promptly and effectively to requests and complaints.

  • Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service contracts, and facility budgets. Prepare regular reports for the Facility Manager.

  • Support the development and implementation of emergency procedures and participate in drills.

  • Assist with minor facility projects and renovations from planning to completion.



Requirements




  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Facility / Estate Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in the Manufacturing industry

  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and general maintenance practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with staff, vendors, and contractors.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
