We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.




  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Install, modify, and upgrade mechanical components and systems as needed

  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and improve efficiency

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory

  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex mechanical issues

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing tasks

  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and equipment breakdowns



Qualifications




  • degree in maintainence or Technical college certificate 

  • 2-3 years of experience as a mechanical technician or in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with preventive maintenance practices and procedures

  • Skilled in using various hand and power tools

  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery

  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in an industrial setting

  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, pneumatics, hydraulics) are a plus

  • Ability to work efficiently and organize tasks effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls when necessary
