Job Description




  • Identify, define and implement the PMO strategy whilst aligning it with the organisational goals and objectives.

  • Lead the development and roll out of project management standards and tools.

  • Track, monitor and control all stages of the project lifecycle, overseeing the portfolio of projects to ensure consistent quality and strategic alignment with organizational goals.

  • Ensure all projects adhere to the defined governance, risk and compliance set up by the regulatory bodies.

  • Monitor project performance and report regularly to management of the organisation.

  • Act as the main liaison with key stakeholders, project teams and management, provide updates on project status and support business units in identifying and initiating new projects.

  • Recruit, mentor and manage PMO staff.

  • Coordinate User Acceptance Test (UAT), System Integration Test (SIT) and Training.

  • Identify, track and document changes to project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans and update, prepare, forecast and distribute project status reports to stakeholders.

  • Review issues and problems in relation to projects, deal with vendors and administer contracts and identify project risks, as well as recommend actions to mitigate risks.

  • Responsible for gathering, compiling and distributing information to designated parties regarding assigned Project deliverables.

  • Benchmark PMO practices with industry standards and recommend best practices.

  • Ensure all assigned project(s) conform to ntel Project Management Governance standards.

  • Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by line manager/supervisor.



Requirements

Education / Certification:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or any related field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage

  • Professional Certification in Project Management is required

  • Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or PgMP



Experience:




  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within a PMO.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale or cross-functional projects or programs.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Telecommunication environment or related industry.

  • Experience of facilitating project coordination and managing expectations across internal, 3rd party and/or client teams according to project requirements and work streams from kick off to deployment

  • Demonstrated track record of accomplishments including successful launches of products, services, policies or national initiatives.

Knowledge:




  • Applied knowledge of Project Management Methodology

  • Knowledge of Business Analysis, certification is a plus

  • Knowledge of Business Process Management is a plus
