Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring advance planning of all required maintenance on aircraft or aircraft components so as to ensure that all maintenance is accomplished within the intervals specified in the approved maintenance programme.
- Liaison with appropriate departments to make aircraft required for maintenance available at the appropriate time.
- Notifying the appropriate departments of aircraft or component maintenance requirement well in advance to facilitate planning for the necessary equipment and manpower resources.
- Prepares work scopes/package for heavy maintenance checks/inspections called up in the process of the implementation of approved maintenance programme and advising the Store officer as to provide the spare parts requirement for upcoming inspections.
- Reviews applicable ADS, SBs and other technical documents for implementation
- Maintaining a correct computerized aircraft and component maintenance status.
- Maintaining a correct computerized Engines and APU LLP status.
- Ensure complete and correct updating of the Aircraft, Engine and APU logbooks.
- Maintaining a correct status of compliance for all accomplished airworthiness directives and manufacturers' service bulletins or letters.
- Ensures that the revision status of the manual/documents agrees with that of the manufacturers and vendors.
- Prepare aircraft documents for NCAA C of A renewals when due.
- Issues a weekly forecast of required maintenance activities rolling on a monthly cycle and also issues a quarterly and yearly maintenance schedule to all concerned
- Carry out airworthiness review on UNA fleet Bi-annually
Minimum Qualification:
- Degree in Engineering/Sciences or equivalent
- At least 5 years as a CAMO/Planning Engineer or officer in an Airline/AMO
