Role Summary




  • The Executive Director – Commercial is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the company’s commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth, client acquisition, and market expansion in the FinTech sector.

  • The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of strategic leadership, commercial acumen, and experience in financial services or digital platforms.



Key Responsibilities




  • Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

  • Lead go-to-market planning, product monetization strategies, and expansion into new markets.

  • Collaborate with the MD and executive leadership to shape the company’s long-term vision and strategic direction.

  • Drive revenue performance across all business lines and customer segments.

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth levers, including B2B, B2C, and ecosystem collaborations.

  • Develop pricing, sales, and distribution strategies that enhance profitability and customer acquisition.

  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, regulators, technology vendors, and key ecosystem players.

  • Negotiate high-value commercial agreements that support business growth and innovation.

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team including business development, key account management, and partner relations.

  • Set clear KPIs, performance targets, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.

  • Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to inform commercial decisions.

  • Champion the voice of the customer in shaping product offerings and user experiences.

  • Ensure commercial activities are compliant with financial regulations and data privacy laws.

  • Work closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to manage contractual risks and maintain governance standards.



Qualifications & Experience




  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 20 - 25 years’ experience in commercial, strategy, or business leadership roles in FinTech, financial services, or technology-driven environments.

  • Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth, managing large commercial teams, and executing complex deals.

  • Deep understanding of financial technologies, digital payments, embedded finance, and/or digital banking.

  • Strong network within the financial services and technology sectors is highly desirable.
