Job Summary




  • We are seeking an experienced Production Superintendent with a strong background in plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding and blow molding.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.



Key Responsibilities




  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of production lines, particularly those involving injection and blow molding machines.

  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and optimizing machine efficiency.

  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and work with maintenance teams to reduce unplanned downtime.

  • Oversee staffing, training, and development of production personnel; ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.

  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to support process improvements and resolve technical issues.

  • Track production metrics such as cycle time, scrap rate, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness); prepare and present regular performance reports.

  • Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and shift reports.

  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices.

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or process-related issues.

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all shifts.



Qualifications




  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a supervisory role within a plastic manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of injection molding and blow molding equipment and processes.

  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of production planning, manufacturing KPIs, and quality systems (e.g., ISO standards).

  • Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.



Work Environment:




  • Manufacturing floor with exposure to moderate noise, machinery, and plastic resins.

  • Rotating shifts or weekend work may be required based on production demands.
