About the Role




  • We are seeking a proactive and highly experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to strengthen our organizational capability and drive talent development initiatives across our operations.

  • This role is well-suited to a seasoned professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

  • The successful candidate will lead the design, execution, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring that workforce development is aligned with business objectives.

  • This position requires a solid understanding of adult learning principles, strong facilitation skills, and a passion for improving employee performance through continuous learning.



Key Responsibilities




  • Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) in partnership with department heads to identify knowledge and skill gaps.

  • Design and implement scalable learning programs including onboarding, compliance, technical, and soft skills training.

  • Deliver in-house training sessions and manage vendor-led learning interventions.

  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to manage and track training activities.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness using industry-recognized models (e.g., Kirkpatrick, ROI).

  • Align learning strategies with organizational goals, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.

  • Maintain up-to-date training records, reports, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate training logistics including schedules, materials, facilitators, and venues.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning across all business units.



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related discipline.

  • 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in an L&D or Training role, with proven success in the manufacturing sector.

  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR (HRCI), CIPD, or equivalent is required.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning methodologies, and training facilitation.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital learning platforms.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed for regional training programs.

  • Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, Ikoyi, Lagos.
