JOB OBJECTIVE:
To support the effective implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and compliance processes across projects by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key performance data. The role ensures that projects are executed according to organizational standards, donor requirements, and relevant regulations, contributing to the continuous improvement of program performance.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation of project works and maintenance operations activities
- Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output.
- Perform critical inspection and review analysis for due diligence reports by measuring the completeness and accuracy of the information that is flowing back to the business
- Engage with Project and Service delivery teams on best engineering practices and compliance to business work ethics, standards and safety rules.
- Conduct alignment, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables to guarantee optimal performance
- Perform routine maintenance checks on fiber optic equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, signal degradation, and other technical problems related to fiber optic connections
- To undertake root cause analysis on issues identified through monitoring and ensure that any remediation and broader procedural changes that may be proposed are implemented within the stipulated timeframes
- Suggest strategies to the Project and Service delivery teams for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of project implementation and maintenance operations by identifying bottlenecks and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks
- Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system
- Conducts assessments and supervises third party vendors activities as per required
- Regular audit of infrastructure to minimize risk exposures from desertion, encroachment, vandalization and to provide necessary actionable information
- Provide Compliance advice to the business on the implementation of appropriate actions plans to address identified gaps
- Ensure accurate documentation of all activities
- Prepare reports of issues and findings on monitoring, evaluation and compliance to all stakeholders and management
- Perform other duties assigned by the Team Lead.
