Job Summary
- The Account Manager will coordinate, direct and oversee her team in the discharge of their accounting duties.
- She will support Executive Management by offering insights and financial advice toward achieving the financial objectives of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the company complies with all local, state and federal accounting and financial regulations
- Liaise with regulatory bodies with respect to compliances matters e.g. tax
- Compile, analyze and report financial data
- Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow reports and other reports.
- Present data to Management, Investors and other entities
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions
- Assist Management in decision making by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Maintain accounting controls through implementation of approved policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information e.g. Bank statements, Creditors, Debtors accounts, etc.
- Back up database and ensure the confidentiality of financial information
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
- Carry out management accounting of the firm.
- Verify documentation before disbursements.
- Keep informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Assist in month-end closing and inventory
- Prepare, analyze and report periodic gross margins
- Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory
- Oversee the timely and accurate invoicing of customers.
- Handle overdue payments according to the company policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to support staff.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years work experience.
- ICAN certification is preferred.
- We have preference for candidates who reside in the Abijo, Ibeju Lekki axis of Lagos State.
