Job Summary



  • The Account Manager will coordinate, direct and oversee her team in the discharge of their accounting duties.

  • She will support Executive Management by offering insights and financial advice toward achieving the financial objectives of the Company.


Responsibilities



  • Ensure the company complies with all local, state and federal accounting and financial regulations

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies with respect to compliances matters e.g. tax

  • Compile, analyze and report financial data

  • Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow reports and other reports.

  • Present data to Management, Investors and other entities

  • Maintain accurate financial records.

  • Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions

  • Assist Management in decision making by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Maintain accounting controls through implementation of approved policies and procedures.

  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information e.g. Bank statements, Creditors, Debtors accounts, etc.

  • Back up database and ensure the confidentiality of financial information

  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.

  • Carry out management accounting of the firm.

  • Verify documentation before disbursements.

  • Keep informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting

  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

  • Assist in month-end closing and inventory

  • Prepare, analyze and report periodic gross margins

  • Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory

  • Oversee the timely and accurate invoicing of customers.

  • Handle overdue payments according to the company policies.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to support staff.


Qualifications



  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years work experience.

  • ICAN certification is preferred.

  • We have preference for candidates who reside in the Abijo, Ibeju Lekki axis of Lagos State.
