Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
- The Pricing & Revenue Management Analyst is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that optimize revenue, profitability, and competitiveness for Konga Travels across all product lines including flights, packages, and ancillary services.
- This role combines pricing analytics, partner negotiations, ticketing oversight, and strategic collaboration to ensure the business stays ahead of market trends and meets revenue targets.
- The analyst will also serve as a key liaison between airlines, trade partners, internal teams, and technology stakeholders.
KEY DUTIES
Pricing Strategy & Revenue Optimization
- Design and implement dynamic pricing structures for flights, packages, and ancillary services.
- Analyze GDS net fares, commission structures, and fare rules to establish optimal markups or discounts.
- Manage route-specific pricing strategies to balance competitiveness and margin.
- Forecast revenues and build pricing models based on historical data, trends, and seasonality.
Airline & Trade Partner Management
- Negotiate and manage airline and consolidator deals, backend incentive programs, and override commissions.
- Ensure all contracts and agreements with airlines, GDSs, and trade partners are tracked, updated, and optimized.
- Organize and monitor incentive programs, bonus schemes, and performance competitions for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to co-create proposals for backend incentives tied to campaigns.
- Provide strategic pricing support for promotions, holiday campaigns, and seasonal fare deals.
- Contribute to business development and product decisions with pricing impact analysis.
Compliance & Ticketing Oversight
- Audit issued tickets regularly to ensure correct ticketing codes, fare applications, and commission rules.
- Communicate airline circulars, fare changes, and ticketing updates to relevant internal teams.
- Monitor commission leakage and take corrective actions.
Competitor & Market Intelligence
- Benchmark KTT’s prices against competitors.
- Use scraping tools or pricing APIs to monitor fare competitiveness and adjust markups accordingly.
- Provide regular reports and insights on fare trends and market dynamics.
Data Reporting & Dashboarding
- Maintain pricing dashboards, fare competitiveness trackers, and margin analysis reports.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports on pricing performance, partner revenue, and compliance.
- Recommend actionable insights based on data to drive margin improvement.
KNOWLEDGE/REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years in pricing, revenue optimization, or commercial strategy in travel, airline, OTA, or consolidator sectors.
- Experience with GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre, Verteil) and understanding of fare rules.
- Advanced Excel, Power BI and data modelling
- Familiarity with dynamic pricing and competitor benchmarking
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Basic SQL or Python (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Professional certification in Revenue Management, Airline Pricing, or Business Analytics (IATA, etc.) is a plus.
