Position Summary




  • The Well Intervention Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution oversight of well intervention operations aimed at restoring or enhancing production.

  • Based in the office, the Supervisor manages intervention workflows, aligns service providers, and maintains operational oversight of field crews across multiple flow stations.

  • This role is pivotal in ensuring all intervention activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production targets and asset integrity standards.



Key Responsibilities



Planning and Coordination




  • Develop well intervention programs including cleanouts, SCSSV replacements, coiled tubing, wireline, stimulation, and nitrogen lift operations.

  • Review well histories, schematics, and diagnostics in collaboration with production and subsurface teams to determine optimal intervention scope.

  • Coordinate with logistics, engineering, and service.

  • Review risk assessments, job safety analysis (JSA), and ensure compliance with company HSE and well integrity standards.



Field Supervision (Remote + Targeted Onsite Oversight)




  • Provide operational oversight of all well intervention activities through daily engagement with field crews and service supervisors.

  • Conduct regular remote monitoring of job progress, ensuring alignment with approved procedures and timelines.

  • Undertake periodic site visits for job kick off, critical operations, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.

  • Serve as the primary office liaison for field teams, addressing operational challenges in real-time.



Execution Oversight and Reporting




  • Track intervention progress for all active wells, monitoring service quality, operational efficiency, and safety performance.

  • Ensure timely submission and review of daily field reports, service tickets, and post-job documentation.

  • Lead operational debriefs to capture lessons learned and implement continuous improvement actions.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including Non-Productive Time (NPT), job cycle times, and production gains.



Qualifications and Experience.




  • Minimum of 10 years’ oil and gas industry experience, with at least 5 years in well intervention operations and supervision.

  • Degree or HND in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.

  • Valid IWCF or IADC Well Intervention Well Control certification.

  • Demonstrated expertise in coiled tubing, slickline, wireline, SCSSV change-outs, and stimulation operations.

  • Familiarity with onshore/offshore production environments and multi-well project execution in Nigeria or similar regions.



Core Competencies




  • Strong planning, coordination, and supervisory skills across office and field environments.

  • Excellent communication and reporting capabilities, with stakeholder engagement experience.

  • Deep technical understanding of wellbore mechanics, downhole intervention methods, and equipment requirements.
