We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Analyst to manage and optimize inventory levels across our retail pharmacy.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock records, minimize shortages or overstocking, and support efficient pharmacy operations by providing timely data analysis and inventory insights.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze inventory levels for all pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products.
Maintain accurate stock records using pharmacy inventory management systems (e.g., Shelf Life, SmartRx).
Track product expiration dates and coordinate timely disposal or return to suppliers.
Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends, seasonality, and promotional activity.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system data to identify variances.
Collaborate with pharmacists and procurement teams to manage replenishment orders.
Set reorder levels and alert thresholds for critical and high-demand medications.
Identify and report inventory discrepancies, pilferage, or wastage.
Generate inventory reports (weekly/monthly) for management review.
Assist in implementing inventory control policies and improving inventory turnover ratios.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and pharmaceutical inventory guidelines (e.g., NAFDAC).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory analysis or stock control.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical sector.
