Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive Marketing Specialist (Government) to support business development and brand visibility within the public sector, focusing on government-led construction and infrastructure projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the local and federal government procurement processes, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to support marketing efforts that align with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Engagement & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue government construction tenders, projects, and partnership opportunities at the state and federal levels.
- Build and maintain relationships with key officials in relevant ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).
- Attend and represent the company at public procurement events, stakeholder meetings, and forums.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement localized marketing campaigns tailored to the construction sector and public sector audiences.
- Collaborate with the central marketing team to align brand messaging with corporate goals.
- Coordinate and manage marketing materials (e.g., brochures, presentations, digital assets) used for government proposals and bids.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the point of contact for marketing and public relations activities in Rivers and Akwa Ibom States.
- Support the preparation of project proposals, capability statements, and bid documentation for government agencies.
- Ensure consistent communication with the Abuja headquarters for updates, reporting, and strategic alignment.
Market Intelligence:
- Monitor industry trends, government policies, and competitor activities in the region.
- Provide insights and recommendations on upcoming opportunities and risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years experience in marketing, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry, with direct exposure to government or public sector clients.
- Strong understanding of public procurement and bidding processes in Nigeria.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Abuja for team meetings and strategy sessions.
