Responsibilities
- Our Construction Divisional Manager should be aware that the construction that our construction is one of the business units of our company with the independent costs and revenue generation.
- The Construction divisional manager's responsibilities shall apart from the following, include, running the division efficiently for growth.
- Plan and lead the division's customer relationship strategy in view of securing valuable customers and construction projects for the division.
- Planning, developing adequate estimating capabilities and overseeing the preparation of all winning bids, estimates and budgets.
- Developing revenue and profit projections. Reviewing, recommending, monitoring and long-term budgets to ensure adherence to expense control and achievement of revenue projections.
- Managing and directing the day-to-day activities of the division staff in view of achieving customer satisfaction and the division's growth.
- Developing short and long-term objectives for the division.
- Developing and recommending appropriate staff, resources, and direction to ensure satisfactory project deliveries and business growth.
Qualifications and Skills
- B.Sc qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- An MBA will be an added advantage.
- 5-10 years of experience, out of which 2 years should have been spent as a Civil Construction Engineer/ supervisor on major construction projects.
- COREN, PMP or relevant certification in building or construction.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards.
- Familiarity with construction or project management software.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
