Job Summary




  • We are currently seeking to hire a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as the Director for Trade, Investment & Events for an International NGO based in Lagos doing business with Britiain and the commonwealth.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive partnership and fundraising strategy to support the organization's mission and goals.

  • This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as a proven track record in securing partnerships and funds.



Responsibilities

Partnership Development:




  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, NGOs, and other relevant entities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership opportunities with organizational objectives.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential partners.



Fundraising Strategy:




  • Create and implement a fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and financial objectives.

  • Identify and pursue diverse funding sources, including grants, individual donors, and corporate sponsorships.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set fundraising targets and milestones.



Grant Writing and Proposal Development:




  • Lead the development of compelling grant proposals and fundraising materials.

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with organizational priorities.

  • Ensure timely submission of grant applications and reports.



Donor Relations:




  • Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, ensuring a high level of engagement and satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the donor base and increase donor retention.



Event Management:




  • Plan and execute fundraising events to engage donors and raise awareness.

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and enhance the organization's visibility.



Financial Oversight:




  • Work closely with the finance team to track and report on fundraising activities.

  • Monitor and analyze fundraising metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions.



Requirements




  • Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, International Trade/Business/ Relations, or any related field from a recognized institution.

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

  • Age range of 35-45 years.
