Job Summary
- A Product Designer is a creative problem-solver who translates user needs and business goals into user-centered products.
- They bridge the gap between user research, design thinking, and product development, focusing on creating products that are both usable and desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
- Define product vision and strategy by collaborating with product managers and stakeholders.
- Design user interfaces (UIs) and user experiences (UX) that are intuitive, efficient, and delightful to use.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and test design concepts.
- Conduct usability testing to gather user feedback and iterate on designs.
- Collaborate with developers and other teams to ensure smooth implementation of the product design.
- Communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders and team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and tools in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Designer with 4-6 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of design thinking principles and user-centred design (UCD) methodology.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and usability
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, etc).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills (may be desired depending on the specific role):
- Experience with user research methods (e.g., user interviews, surveys, usability testing)
- Knowledge of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS)
- Experience with prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Proto.io)
- Understanding of the product development lifecycle
- Experience with design systems and UI libraries.
