Job Summary




  • The ideal candidate shall be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the project's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and Company's policies.



Responsibilities




  • Development of the develop the Project CASHES Plan in compliance with Nigerian regulations

  • Conduct HSE risk assessments and hazard identification for the entire project.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response plans and define HSE training requirements for all personnel.

  • Ensure that project plans and designs comply with all applicable HSE regulations and standards.

  • Promote a strong safety culture among all project personnel and contractors through ongoing awareness programs and training.

  • Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections of work sites, facilities, and operations.

  • Investigate all HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Manage HSE training and awareness programs for all project personnel and ensure adherence to safety procedures.

  • Ensure that environmental audits are conducted to confirm all areas are free from contamination and restoration targets have been met.



Requirements




  • BSc in Engineering or HSE-related field

  • 10+ years HSE experience in oil/gas with 3+ years in Nigerian onshore projects

  • Pipeline construction safety oversight

  • Regulatory compliance (NMDPRA)

  • NEBOSH International Diploma (mandatory)

  • OSHA or IOSH Managing Safely

  • HSE Level 3 (Nigeria)

  • First Aid/HAZMAT certification

  • Minimum 3 major pipeline projects

  • Nigerian content compliance experience

  • Fluent English & Computer literacy (MS Office, reporting tools).

  • Strong documentation/reporting skills.

  • Willingness for full-time site presence.
